Often when you set off to a new city that is not familiar to you, you would like to know a little more about where you are heading. I can help you with all those important details. I love my province and have travelled it extensively , and with this knowledge I can help you. The following list are some key places to visit when you arrive here :
- Peggys'Cove - world famous, many tourists visit every year - great food in the restaurant and paraphernalia too
- Mi kmaq way Debert - Canada;s oldest archeological site of 11,000 years ago history of the Mi kmaq people. There is a wonderful, hand made hiking trail to take you through the land. There are information boards to explain what has been found in those specified areas. Must see and must hike, magnificent!
- Five Islands Provincial Park - panoramic views, excellent camping
- Kejimkujik National Park Historical Site of Canada - take a canoe into the wilderness camp among the many islands that are designated for campers. This huge parkland is run by the government to protect it's beauty and all the four legged creatures who occupy it. Remember it's their home and you are just visitors. Pack out what you pack in.
- Of course there are our various trails that cover our province- Evangeline Trail, Glooscap Trail, Sunrise Trail, Cape Breton Trail, Marine Drive, Halifax Metro, and the Lighthouse Trail.
